Another attempt to put the conflict of interest back into alt.romance.conflict-of-interest.poetry.
My role at work has undergone a change:
From drudge to supervisor's true amour.
But now you treat me like I have the mange.
What have I done to incur such rancour?
You feel your image must be squeaky clean.
That's different from the way you acted then.
When we first screwed upon the fax machine
Our sighs were sent to Perth and back again..
Your job may be at stake, but what of mine?
The risk that you'll be fired may be high,
But while you're in the unemployment line
My bonus may be dropped--I'd rather die!
My dear, deny me not your fond embrace
At least until another takes your place.
