Someone wrote in asking to be removed from a mailing list I help administer, so I took 'em off. This prompted the following note:

Thank you for your prompt attention. The reason I wanted off your list because I'm trying to figure out what is causing the computer to log off. The modem, the phone line, the alarm system. I would like to be back on the list when I figure out the problem. Right now I am logging on from the office, which is not permitted.
