Here's some hints on using ArkMOO. Enjoy!

• Most rooms will at some point tell you what the room exits are. For instance, when you join the MUD the first room is described as:

  Brigham Circle Station
    You find yourself in a subway station.  The air is stuffy and smells
  of stale urine, as the air of most public transportation waypoints
  does. A sign hanging down from the ceiling indicates that this is the
  MBTA Green Line stop for Brigham Circle.  There are steps leading to
  the north.
  --> [N]orth to Brigham Circle
  

  If you now type "n" or "north" you'll be taken to a new room, Bringham Circle.
• You'll often encounter objects as you wander about. For instance, currently in the Brigham Circle Station there's:

  You see Hulk, sign, FOOD, and NOTFOOD here.
  

  You can look at these things more closely using the "look" command. "look hulk" gives me:

  You see a 6ft tall green inflatable Incredible Hulk doll here.
  His arm is extended and pointing towards a signpost to your left.
  Around the Hulk's neck is hung a placard upon which is written:

  If you want to figure out what you can do with these things, type 'examine [object name]' and it will tell you what actions you can do. 'examine hulk' tells me (among other information):

  Obvious verbs:
    hit/smack/kick/punch/spank/poke/slap/beat/whack/pummel hulk
    sex/love/fuck/kiss hulk
    g*et/t*ake hulk
    d*rop/th*row hulk
    gi*ve/ha*nd hulk to <anything>
  

  You can now try to "get hulk", "kiss hulk", or "hit hulk" if you feel like it.
• You can find out who's currently on the MOO (and where they are) using the @who command. You can then wander off and try to find them. If desired you can also page them as follows:

  page jwgh with "Hi jwgh!"

• You can say something as follows:

  "HELLO SHAWN! THIS IS A PENCIL!

  The above results in everyone in the room seeing:

  [your account] says, "HELLO SHAWN! THIS IS A PENCIL!"

• You can perform actions as follows:

  :grins widely.

  (This results in everone in the room seeing '[your account] grins widely.')
• Um, yeah.
• You can control what other people see when they look at your character using '@describe' and '@gender'. Type 'help @describe' and 'help @gender' for more information. If you have trouble getting them to work, ask someone for help.
• There's help on a lot of other junk too. 'help' and 'help index' give you access to more information than you could ever want to know!
• Visit the bar I created off Futplex Avenue! You can get to it from the station by going north, then west, then northwest, then southwest.
